WWE Elimination Chamber 2014

Welcome to the 2014 Elimination Chamber PPV event, I’m Big Boss and you can follow me on twitter @bigboss010 and you can follow my good friend and tag partner 12ve-Pac @siteofshite. This PPV is generally quite a good show leading to Wrestlemania as we usually get to see two Elimination Chamber matches, however this year we only have the 1 Chamber match as now we only have 1 champion, but probably for the best. Some nice little matches lined for the show too some of which I’m quite looking forward to, I’m quite excited about this PPV, the final stop on the “Road To Wrestlemania”.

Match # 1 Intercontinental Title Match
Big E (c) vs. Jack Swagger with Zeb Colter
As Swagger enters, we get a quick Zeb Colter promo, he says that the E in Big E means enough, we have had enough of Big E as the IC champ. I don’t like Big E that much myself, this Swagger would make a good IC champ personally, think he needs the belt to actually gain some momentum going forward. However I imagine that Big E will pick up the win here, WWE seems behind him and obviously wants him to be pushed. Quite a few “we the people” chants, more cheers for Swagger than there were for Big E in this match.

Big E hits Swagger with the Big Ending to get the 3 count pinfall on Jack Swagger, was actually quite a good match, both guys actually looked really good, great spot with Big E hitting a spear through the middle rope to take himself and Swagger down to the floor on the outside.

Segment 1
Bad News Barrett arrives and explains how Russia has won more Olympic medals than the USA.

Backstage we are with Daniel Bryan, he is asked about his mindset tonight, he says he is 100% focused on the chamber match and he will fight his hardest to win the title tonight. YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!

Match #2 Tag Team Title Match
New Age Outlaws (c) vs. The Uso’s
As much as I love the New Age Outlaws, I really don’t think they should be tag team champions, but I think they are just looking for a heel team to drop the belts to the Uso’s.  It’s a shame that the Outlaws are too damn popular to be considered real heels. The Uso’s have been building some popularity as of late they have a quick style in the ring and their entrance has also picked them up some fans too.

Billy Gunn rolls up Uso #1 to retain their tag team championships, wasn’t a mind blowing match because no offence to the Outlaws but they are just too confusing with regards to whether they are face or heel and they just shouldn’t be the tag champs in 2014.

Segment 2
Bad News Barrett is back, this time to deliever some bad news to Daniel Bryan fans, he tells them that he won’t win the title in the chamber and then the Yes Movement will die.

Match # 3
Titus O’Neil vs. Darren Young
I was absolutely gutted when I heard that WWE had split up the Prime Time Players because I loved the gimmick with the “Millions of Dollars” gimmick and they were actually a tag team and considering that WWE were going to put more effort into the tag team division they seem pretty bent on splitting up established teams. I give it 3 – 6 months and at least 1 of these guys will be “Future Endeavoured”.
Titus O’Neil wins the match after hitting Darren Young with the “Clash of the Titus”, wasn’t too bad actually, just a shame that they broke up a cool tag team to make this match happen.

Segment 3
Bad News Barrett is back again!!! This time to tell everyone that he is better than Hulk Hogan... wtf!!!

Josh Matthews is with Mark Henry, The Miz and Rey Mysterio for the Elimination Chamber panel, they talk about the pre show match with Curtis Axel and Ryback vs. The Rhodes Brothers.

Match # 4 – 6 Man Tag Team Match
The Wyatt Family vs. The Shield
This match has been in the works for a long time, the fans have obviously wanted to see this match for a while too, and it is going to be an epic match I think. Both teams have been on a collision course for a while especially considering just how dominant both teams have been, I do think however they could have waited to have this match at Wrestlemania 30 instead of this PPV. I’m not even sure who I am really behind in this match, the Shield have done very well in big PPV matches like this, but the WWE seems quite solid in their pushing of the Wyatt family too and if the plan is to have Bray Wyatt vs John Cena at Wrestlemania then they need to get a win here to lead to the match.

This is a match of the year candidate!!! Fantastic match!!

Bray Wyatt pins Roman Reigns after hitting him with the “Sister Abigail” to give the Wyatt Family the win here in what can only be described as a FUCKING AWESOME match. This had some high flying spots from both teams and the double chokeslam to Seth Rollins through the announcers table was brilliant. The Roman Reigns come back at the end was brilliant and it’s a match of the year candidate I think, hopefully we will get a rematch down the road. Bray winning this match was good too because it pushes him on his road to face Cena at Wrestlemania.

Segment 4
Christian is in the back with Rene, he says he desperate to win the WWE title.

Match # 5 – WWE Divas Championship Match
AJ Lee (c) With Tamina vs. Cameron
Ok an impromptu Divas title match, oh look over there.... Something REALLY REALLY COOL!!

Cameron wins by DQ after Tamina pulls her out of the ring. Short match and made no real sense.

Segment 5
Another Bad News Barrett appearance, mentions that the WWE network goes online and that everyone will lose their jobs because they will be spending so much time watching the WWE network. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING??????!

In the back with Santino playing with a wrestling toy, then Emma walks in to speak to him, then Khali walks in too and followed by Los Matadores. Santino sneaks out and the rest play with the toys..... WTF!!!!

Match # 6
Batista vs. Alberto Del Rio
Batista is going to have his hands full here I think with Del Rio, provided they let him get some offence in of course and since the build for this match hasn’t been overly brilliant they should let them have a reasonably balanced match. The match itself was set up on twitter just before Batista’s return, and was then confirmed after the Royal Rumble ppv.

Del Rio enters wearing full clothing, using a crutch and brandishing a neck brace, he says he will not be able to compete, but then attacks Batista with his crutch, undresses and is set to compete, what an ambush!!! The crowd do not like Batista, they are firmly behind Del Rio in this match and the commentary team cannot believe it.

Batista beats Alberto Del Rio after hitting him with the Batista Bomb and then pinning Del Rio. Wasn’t a great match to be honest, was mainly Del Rio beating on Batista until Batista caught Del Rio for the bomb. Crowd were not into Batista in this match, so many chants for Del Rio it was unreal and that makes me laugh.

Segment 6
Back with the Elimination Chamber panel, Miz says Bryan will win, Henry says Sheamus will win and Rey Mysterio says Cesaro will win.

Match # 7 – WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match – Elimination Chamber
Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus vs. Christian vs. Cesaro
This chamber match has to be the most anticipated chamber match in recent memory, with Cesaro getting a major push, people getting behind him in a big way and then Daniel Bryan who is one of the most popular superstars in recent years owing it mainly to a single word “YES”. Cena who always gets a reaction from the crowds wherever he goes, Sheamus recently returning at the Royal Rumble and Christian who returned shortly after that are also not new to this game so these guys including the current champion Randy Orton should put on one hell of a show here I think.

Cesaro and Sheamus are starting the match as the #1 and #2 entrants.
Entrant # 3 is Daniel Bryan, quite shocking that I would have put money on it being Christian since he wasn’t in the starting two!

Entrant # 4 is Christian, Captain Charisma enters the match, much later than I expected too.

Entrant # 5 is John Cena, that is even more suprising, I expected him to be last to be honest, really thought Orton would be in 5th, but its good that the champ is in last.

Entrant # 6 is Orton... Obviously, didn’t you read the last paragraph?

Elimination # 1, Christian splashes Sheamus from the top of a cell and pins Sheamus to eliminate him from the match, not my call for 1st elimination, but am happily surprised! Go Christian!

Elimination # 2, shortly after this of course Daniel Bryan knees Christian in the face to eliminate him from the match via pinfall! GUTTING!!!

Elimination # 3, Cesaro then after an amazing display of power by german suplexing Cena while trying to AA Daniel Bryan, sadly taps out to the STF! Man Down!

WYATT FAMILY are here and they are inside the chamber and attack Cena and Bryan but then quickly focus on Cena alone. Cena gets double teamed and then gets a “Sister Abigail” from Bray Wyatt, the Wyatt’s then leave the chamber.

Elimination # 4, Orton then sneaks in and pins John Cena to eliminate him from the match.

Kane comes out and throws the Wyatt family out of the ringside area. Then enters the chamber to check on Cena, but Bryan Attacks him like an idiot!!! We can take a big guess about what is going to happen here now!

Bryan knees Orton in the face and just as he is about to get the pinfall Kane pulls the ref out to stop the count, Orton then gets back up and RKOs Bryan but only gets a 2!

Elimination # 5, Kane cheap shots the recovering Bryan, Orton hit another RKO and this time gets the 3 count to pin Bryan and retain the WWE title.

Quite a cool match, didn’t go as I expected to be honest and I like it when I’m surprised like this. Knew the Wyatt’s were going to get involved and had an idea that Kane would get involved too if Bryan got as far as he did. Overall it wasn’t a bad PPV actually, continued the stories that we all knew were coming and sets up nicely for Wrestlemania 30. I cannot wait to see the show with my good friend 12ve-Pac and as usual it will be an amazing atmosphere there. Imagine we will do some videos for the old youtube channel so keep your eyes open for them

You can follow me on Twitter @bigboss010 and 12ve-Pac @siteofshite too. Thank you for reading this and I hope you enjoyed the show as much as me.

Ive been Big Boss and I’ll see you! At Wresltmania 30! I’m Out! ..... Peace.

UFC 170: UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship fight Rousey vs McMann

I have wanted to write a UFC report for a while, not really that into UFC so will probably be a case of just writing about the fights I actually care about for the time being. This fight will see Sara McMann is challenging Ronda Rousey for the UFC women’s championship. This fight is set for 5, 5 minute rounds.

McMann is currently at this stage undefeated with 7 wins under her belt, she is an Olympic silver medalist in wrestling which she won at the 2004 Olympic games in Athens and has been a professional fighter since 2007, I think wrestling is a huge part of the UFC base, it will be interesting to see how she manages to utilize it in this fight.

Ronda Rousey is the current UFC women’s champion and is the self proclaimed “heel” in UFC, stating that everyone wants her to fail and that she will continue to disappoint them. She has won all her fights at this stage and has beaten 7 of her opponents in round 1 and to top that all her wins at this stage have come from using the arm bar submission. She won a bronze medal in judo at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing China. A good contrast to the Wrestler opponent, the Judo should also provide an interesting challenge for McMann.

TALE OF THE TAPE
Ronda Rousey (c)
Born: USA
Age: 27
Height: 5’7”
Weight: 135
Reach: 66”

Sara McMann
Born: USA
Age: 33
Height: 5’6”
Weight: 135
Reach: 66”

Round 1
Both ladies come out swinging but McMann ends up backed against the cage, however just as she fights out Rousey puts her back on the cage wall, throwing the odd knee into the side of McMann, Rousey knees McMann in the gut by the liver area and McMann drops down to the floor and the ref stops the fight there.

At 1 minute 6 seconds into the fight Rousey retains her Bantamweight women’s belt and for the 1st time not winning by the arm bar. Well that wasn’t much of a fight really; entrances and announcements were longer than the actual fight, a bit gutting really, had hyped myself up quite a bit for this fight too, bet the paying crowd were a bit miffed too. Looking like her next opponent will be Cat Zingano who is the current ranked #1 in the women’s division after Rousey, so may be worth a watch when that fight happens.

Thanks for joining me on this really short write up, you can follow me on twitter @bigboss010 or follow my tag team partner over @siteofshite. I’ve been Big Boss and I’m out, peace.
